Reliving Rally ’26: Southern Oregon Magic

There is something extraordinary about the way the Cycle Oregon community comes together, but the 2026 Rally in Grants Pass and Jacksonville set what feels like a new high bar.

From arrival, the energy in Rally camp was electric. Riders experienced the best of this beautiful state from rolling riverside basecamps, scenic backroad miles, historic downtown charm and connection to new faces and places.

What the Riders Said: General Experience & Vibe

For returning participants and newcomers alike, Rally delivered the experience that Cycle Oregon has been renowned for since 1988:

“Cycle Oregon has become something I do!! It’s like an annual visit to family. Enjoy exploring a different part of OR each year.”

“Cycle Oregon continues to deliver the gold standard for multi-day events. The seamless organization, pristine routes, and unbeatable atmosphere make this the absolute highlight of my summer every year.”

“As a first-time Rally participant, I was blown away by how welcoming the entire community was from day one. I arrived knowing no one and left with a whole new group of friends.”

On the Road: Route Options & Scenery

Each morning delivered pristine routes, low-traffic backroads, and options tailored to every style of rider—from hard-effort gravel routes to scenic recovery spins:

“The route was superb with lots of options, LOW TRAFFIC… yes!”

“The choose your own adventure course was great and gave me options to get some recovery rides in between harder routes. The signage was exceptional… I love the gravel options.”

“Riding through the timberlands, river valleys, and quiet backroads of Southern Oregon offered some of the finest views I have ever experienced from a bike saddle.”

Operations & On-Course Support

Behind every mile was an incredible team of volunteers, mechanics, medical personnel, and rider support staff keeping everyone safe and supported:

“I was extremely impressed with how much planning and organization there was in this event. Especially with all the ride support and the bike tech support, critical.”

“The SAG drivers and rest stop volunteers were absolute heroes out on the road. Smiling faces, cold hydration, and real encouragement right when you needed it most.”

“Wanted to give a special shout out to Marissa and the other people in Rider Services. They were outstanding.”

Community Connection & Host Towns

The dual-basecamp setup allowed riders to truly immerse themselves in the local character of Grants Pass and Jacksonville. The feeling of welcome was mutual across riders and residents alike:

“The local warmth across our host communities was incredible. Seeing the direct connection between riders and local towns made every stop memorable.”

“Jacksonville was outstanding… Let’s go to Jacksonville every year. The town embraced the riders like none other.”

“Walked all over downtown, shopped, purchased some gifts, and ate pizza! Wow, Jacksonville really rolled out the red carpet for us! What a wonderful town!”

The local business community felt the impact just as strongly:

“Hosting the Cycle Oregon Rally was an incredible experience for Jacksonville. Seeing our local shops and restaurants bustling with riders highlighted the perfect partnership between our community and the cycling spirit. We were thrilled to welcome everyone and look forward to the next time!”

Basecamp Life & Food

When the bikes were racked for the day, basecamp turned into a lively celebration of local food, live music, and shared stories:

“Overall food was the best I have had for an event of this type. The food was a highlight.”

“The catering team was amazing. Healthy and tasty food! Loved all the vegetarian protein options and meal options, I was very impressed.”

“Settling into camp each evening felt like a genuine celebration. The combination of live music, local food options, and great conversation made unwinding after a long ride effortless.”

Thank you to every rider, volunteer, sponsor, and community partner who made this year’s Rally an absolute triumph. We can’t wait to ride and Rally with you again!
