Joyride ’22 – Photo Gallery

Summer arrived just in time for Joyride 2022 and the reviews are in:

Joyride rolled out from Riverview Park in downtown Independence under a clear, bright Oregon sky along fast-rolling Polk County roads with friendly volunteers and well-wishers to keep the spirits high. We are grateful for the support of the local community and especially to Bike Indy Oregon and The Independence Hotel. Something special is happening in Independence and we recommend you get yourself, your bike and your best bike friends there to find out sometime soon. Here’s a look at our day in this bike-friendly community.

Such a lovely morning in Riverview Park

Taking a moment to enjoy the quiet before all the fun begins

Smiles all day long

Let’s go! There was a small group ready to get ride right at the top of the hour while most were keen to roll into the day a little more slowly

First wave of riders roll out!

It’s not a race, there’s always time for a family photo!

Getting everything dialed in perfectly, the Trek Bicycles Portland crew is the best!

Cycle Oregon friends are the best friends

Kicking the ride off with river path views

Just a little bit of fanfare to get riders off on their way

Diamonds shine bright in the sun on a day like this

It sure is good to be back in the saddle with our friends

Working together is the name of the game on the road

The conversations usually take a pause when the climbs begin

Coolest spot in town, Cycle Oregon rest stop

Mirror, mirror on the handlebar…

Downtown Independence, Oregon

Stay hydrated out there!

Um, OK, that counts as “hydration” 🙂

Portland-based band Wren had everyone moving

Cheers to fun rides and a great meal with friends when you’re done

It’s all about fun in the sun

After a long, rainy spring most riders just wanted to sit in the cool park grass. Can’t say we blame them one bit.
