Dear Cycle Oregonians,
We continue to monitor the fires and air quality closely. Last week we had staff visiting host communities and getting updates from local authorities. Host communities reported that they are ready for us. Local authorities were anticipating cooler temperatures and wind to help control the fires and move the smoke out of the area. Today, we are heartened to see that the Eagle Complex and Falls Creek fires indeed improved over the weekend and air quality conditions are in the “Good” and “Moderate” ranges. We encourage anyone with concerns to consult their doctor.
So, we continue to finalize our plans for the Hell on Wheels ride!
Our hearts and thoughts continue to go out to the communities affected by fire and we deeply appreciate the hard working men and women who are on the line.
