About
Early Registration for GRAVEL is sold out. General Registration will open on January 22, 2025.
We’re rolling into the Oregon Coast Range to explore some back-road gravel goodness! Embraced by the Trask River, our basecamp is the perfect home for the weekend. Sit riverside listening to the soundtrack of the water as you ponder your weekend bike adventure with this amazing community, or take a moment alone to soak it all in; there is no wrong approach.
A weekend of top-grade gravel roads has you climbing through a wonderland of firs and ferns, as you’re constantly rewarded with views of the many mystical forks of the Trask River and the peaks and valleys of the Coast Range. As you crest one of the many summits, you’ll discover epic vistas before once again descending into the lush greenery of the Tillamook State Forest. With routes consisting of 75-100% gravel, this is truly a gravel adventure not to be missed.
Back at camp, the party continues with live music, cold beverages, fantastic food, fun and games. Want more? Make it a multi-sport weekend! Take advantage of the free fishing weekend and wet a line in the Trask River, famous for its salmon and steelhead runs. Or simply chill after a day of spinning with a cold beverage in hand and your feet in the river. This will be epic. This is Cycle Oregon GRAVEL.

Course Support
Cycle Oregon prides itself on providing a fully supported ride and plenty of route options for everyone’s style. Our goal is to help you finish each day’s ride. To that end, our course is complete with the following services and amenities.
Course Hours: 7 a.m.– 4 p.m. (Sunday 3:30 p.m.)
Course support services are available only during the course hours. If you start before the course opens or are still riding after the course closes, there will be no support services available. All Cycle Oregon riders must be on the course by 9 a.m. Those still on the course after 4 p.m. (3:30 p.m. on Sunday) will be offered a ride to camp. If you choose not to take the ride you will be on your own to get back to camp.
Food and Drink on the Course
Lunch
Lunch will be served on the course.
Rest Stops
There will be 1-3 rest stops available along the route each day to provide water, drinks, lunch, and delicious snacks. A final site map will detail these locations and services.
Rest Stop signs alert riders when one is ahead. You can also see the location of each Rest Stop on the maps that will be inside the rider packet you receive when you check-in. Rest Stops are open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
SAG Vehicles
There will be multiple SAG vehicles on the course each day. They are available to transport cyclists in cases of mechanical problems or medical injuries. They also have extra water, snacks, and sunscreen if needed. If at any time you need assistance, please signal a SAG with a “thumbs down” signal. If you do get into a SAG, you may not be transported directly to camp. The SAG vehicles usually wait until they are full to go to camp.

Bike and Gear
Gravel-specific and touring bikes with 40c (or greater) tires and low gearing will thrive on our routes. As always, the best bike and gear to bring will be the one you are familiar with and comfortable riding.
We do recommend that you or your bicycle have the capacity to carry two water bottles for proper hydration and to take full advantage of our renowned rest stops.
Because of the changes in elevation along this route and the nature of early June weather, we highly recommend wearing layers for the cool mornings and mountainous descents. A full recommended gear list will be included in your ride guide.

Can I bring my e-bike?
We’re excited about the experience e-bikes offer riders and welcome e-bikes at GRAVEL. However, e-bike charging will not be available. We recommend coming with 2 fully charged batteries if you plan to ride an e-bike.
If you are planning to ride an e-bike, you will be responsible for figuring out how to keep it powered over the weekend. Some suggestions are to bring two batteries – one for Saturday and the other for Sunday, charge using your car or RV battery, or have a powerful external battery or gasless generator.
Visit our e-bikes page for more information.
