Rally 2025
Prospect & Diamond Lake, September 7 - 12, 2025
About
Rally for Rides—Rally for Community
GENERAL REGISTRATION WILL OPEN AT 1PM (PST) ON JANUARY 22, 2025.
Join us in riding one of the Seven Wonders of Oregon while we explore some of the most scenic, less traveled roads surrounding this amazing National Park! With our basecamps in the charming community of Prospect, and in the forest alongside Diamond Lake, you’ll have a perfect blend of down-home community and personal time nestled in the pines. With just two overnight sites – aka less packing, more time to pursue your desires – and multiple daily options of both paved and gravel routes, Rally offers the time and flexibility to create your own adventure.
We’ll spend five glorious days exploring by bike throughout the Rouge River-Siskiyou and Umpqua National Forests on canopied single lane ribbons of pavement and gravel. We’ll visit local communities like Union Creek, where you can grab a slice of Beckie’s famous homemade pies, and Buttle Falls, where you can walk the historic streets that shape the downtown district. We’ll cruise along the Wild and Scenic Rogue River and North Umpqua River and experience firsthand why these waterways are so special. And with not one, but two options to marvel at the deepest, bluest lake in the U.S, while riding the roller coaster of the rim, Crater Lake will prove to you why it’s one of the wonders of the world and a bucket list experience!
With world class Cycle Oregon support, all you have to do is ride – we’ll take care of everything else. Whether this ride is your time to go hard or cruise easy (or both!), we’ve got something for everyone. Let’s Rally!
“The rides are perfectly organized. Incredible views. Challenging but achievable. Wonderful to be able to relax and enjoy the ride without the fear of getting lost or needing to navigate. I couldn’t imagine the ride organization and support on the ride being any better. Truly wonderful.“
“Riding with Cycle Oregon makes me feel like a kid again: no responsibilities, just wake up, ride your bike, talk to friends, eat, sleep. Repeat!“
“Rally was everything I had wanted – shorter options, fewer base camps with more time to explore the towns we rode through. I look forward to being a regular and then volunteer as long as I can do it.”

Rally Jersey
For our 2025 Rally Jersey we worked with local artist Ben Woodcock (you may recognize his art all over Oregon from New Seasons to Deschutes Brewery). For our jersey, he was inspired by the unique beauty of Crater Lake from the iconic Old Man and Wizzard Island to the Rainbow Trout swimming in the surrounding rivers.
Our Rally jersey is made by Primal and constructed from their lightweight, double-knit SpeedPro fabric in a Sport Cut with a full-zip front. Available in Men’s and Women’s sizing. Click here to view fit guide.
A standard fit, designed to provide plenty of room in the ride position. Raglan sleeves are less restrictive in lower positions on the bike. With the lightweight, double knit-performance polyester fabric, riders stay comfortable and dry no matter their chosen route.

Accommodations
Camping is included with registration. Bring your own tent, or upgrade to our immensely popular Tent + Porter. You’ll arrive on Sunday to a pre-set-up tent and luggage service to your “front door” at both base camps, including two chairs out front. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag, sleeping pad and pillow!
Our overnight guests will have designated areas for tent camping & RV camping. We have a limited number of spots for RVs, so please be sure to add it onto your registration ahead of time so we save a spot for you!
-
Tent Camping
Camping is included in the price of registration. Don’t forget to bring your tent, ground cloth, sleeping bag, and pad.
-
RV/Van Camping Registration & Fee
We have very limited RV camping spots, all dry – no water, no dumping. Convenient portable toilets and showers will be on site.
A registration fee of $416 is required for each RV/Van Camping. Dry/no hook ups. Purchasing this allows access to all amenities at the overnight site for one rider guest but does NOT include food. Please review the section below for Rider Guest info.
- Vehicles must register – Anyone accompanying a rider through the week in a vehicle must purchase an RV/Van Camping spot or register as a Rider Guest.
-
Rider Guests
Rider Guests
Space is very limited in some of our host sites, which limits our capacity for Rider Guests and Support Vehicles. We cannot accommodate personal vehicles beyond this limited capacity (even if it is just a Prius). This pass is for non-riders who accompany a rider, or group of riders for the event. Please see below for two different options:
Rider Guest Registration Fee
One rider guest pass comes with each van/ RV registration. Additional rider guests will need to pay a registration fee of $260. The fee includes access to the services provided at the overnight site including, showers, restrooms, beer garden, daily entertainment, other food vendors, and medical tent. It does NOT include a meal band. Meal bands can be purchased for an additional $364.
RV/Van Registration Fee
A registration fee of $416 is required for each RV/Van Vehicle. Dry/no hook up. Includes access to all amenities at the overnight site for one rider guest but does NOT include food.
Important considerations about the Rider Guest/Support Vehicle parking program:
- Vehicles must register – Anyone accompanying a rider through the week in a vehicle must purchase a Rider Guest or RV/Van Camping spot.
- Tent Camping – Some of the Rider Guest/Support Vehicle locations will have grass nearby for tent camping, others will not.
- Rider Guests and Support Vehicles drive alternate routes to each overnight location – To enhance the safety of riders and their overall experience, Rider Guests and Support Vehicles will be asked to take alternate roads to the overnight site wherever possible (directions will be provided). The Rider Guest/Support Vehicles option is not meant to provide support for individual riders along the route.
- Rider Guests and Support Vehicle drivers are not registered riders, and so should not be riding the route each day.
- Rider Guest/Support Vehicle campsites will be as close to the rider venues as possible – Rider Guest/Support Vehicle area is not an RV park – more likely it’s a city park, someone’s field or a parking lot.
- Quiet Hours – When possible, we try and locate vehicles that have generators separately from those without. In addition, the Rider Guest/Support Vehicle area will observe quiet hours (no generators) from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. every day.
-
Vehicle Parking
Unlimited parking will be available in a private lot. Price: $52 for the week per vehicle – carpooling is recommended.
Security will be monitoring the lot from dusk to dawn.
Consider carpooling!
- Get There Oregon Rideboard – Get There Oregon – Find and share a ride!
-
Tent + Porter
If you want the star treatment for your camping experience, try the immensely popular Tent + Porter Service.
Imagine this: You arrive in camp and skip the trip to the baggage truck. Instead you head directly for a primo camping spot, where a spiffy 9′ x 7′ Cycle Oregon tent has been set up for you. Your luggage is waiting outside. And this process repeats itself at each location. Tents fit one or two people, and the service costs $312 for the week. Tents will be the same all week, set up by 2 p.m. each move day, marked with your tent number.
Tents are limited and available on a first-come, first-portered basis, so register early to ensure your spot. If two of you are sharing, only one person needs to sign up for the service. One or two chairs will be provided with each tent.
Sleeping bags and pads are not provided, so please don’t forget to bring yours.
Getting There
Directions to the camp will be included in the Ride Guide which will be emailed to you and published on the website before the event start date.
Phone service can be spotty in this area:
- AT&T – overage in Prospect, Diamond Lake and Crater Lake – not much coverage on day 2 and 5.
- Sprint – very little coverage.
- T Mobile – coverage in Prospect, Diamond Lake and Crater Lake – not much coverage on day 2 and 5.
- Verizon – very little coverage.
-
Driving
Cycle Oregon provides week-long parking for riders near the start/finish site. Parking passes are available for $52 until August. We will post specific directions to the parking area as we draw closer to the event. Security is provided from dusk to dawn.
We encourage folks to ride share through Get There. We highly recommend coordinating carpools with other folks!
- The ride will begin and end at Lions Club Park in Prospect, OR – Link to Map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/b67zn8u5wppyMVbNA . Parking will be off-site and directions to this location will be emailed to you before the start of the event with your parking pass.
- Consider posting a ride (offered or needed):
- Get There Oregon Rideboard – Get There Oregon – Find and share a ride!
-
Flying to Portland
If you fly into Portland, we recommend arriving on Saturday, September 6th as it is a 5-hour drive from Portland to Prospect, OR.
- There are smaller regional airports in Grants Pass, Eugene, Bend and others that are closer to Prospect, OR.
- No bus service will be provided in 2025.
- More information on our Portland hotel partner will be posted soon.
Ride Logistics + Amenities
The idea is to have a relaxing, enjoyable week of riding. The key to that? Take care of as many details as possible beforehand. In this section you’ll find pretty much everything you need to know to make your Cycle Oregon experience a great one.
We will be updating this section in the upcoming months. Please check back.

Camp Services
Showers
Hot showers will be provided at each overnight site. Please remember to bring a towel or two, as we do not provide towels or toiletries. Shower schedule will be published at Rider Services at camp.
Rider Services
Rider Services is the Cycle Oregon customer service department. You will find the Rider Services trailer in a visible location near the entrance to each overnight campsite. This is the place to ask questions, get help solving a problem, meet friends, leave a note on the message board or locate missing items at lost and found.
Cycle Oregon Gift Shop
The Cycle Oregon Gift Shop, located at Rider Services, is where you’ll shop for Cycle Oregon merchandise including a limited number of this year’s ride jersey, cycling gear, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, basic sundries, and more. Look for the Cycle Oregon Gift Shop near Rider Services.
Medical Services
Medical services from Adventure Medics will be available at the overnight site. There is no charge for medical services on the course or at the site. If you require transportation to or from a local medical facility, you will be financially responsible for transport and medical services there.
CPAP Service
We will designate a camping area adjacent to the medical tent with electrical hookups for those who use equipment such as a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) or sleep machine. The medical crew will carry your CPAP equipment from site to site; the cost for this service is $104 for the week. This does not include the use of a tent – you must provide your own or register for Tent & Porter. You will still be responsible for delivering your gear bag to the baggage truck. This service is limited to the first 30 people who register.
Massage
SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY by the Cycle Oregon Massage Team:
Riders may sign up for a post-ride massage therapy treatment in-camp with one of our experienced Oregon Licensed Massage Therapists. Each therapist can tailor a session for you based on ride recovery, injury rehab/mitigation, or just for a treat, to help your body feel comfortable again after a hard ride! In addition to in-camp signup, riders may choose to pre-book their sessions before the event starts. Visit the website here.
Rates: $110 per 55 minutes, or $165 per 85 minutes.
Yoga
Stretch out the muscles that get tight during cycling. These yoga classes will help you stay close to your breath this week. Not only will this help you feel better, but stretching can also help prevent injury. And you’ll meet other great people who like to do nice things for their bodies too. There are typically two sessions each day, depending on the length of the riding day. Mats are provided. Check the daily schedule at Rider Services.

Baggage
Over 60,000 people have made the week trip with one 65-pound bag; you can too! Here are three simple rules for bags:
- One bag per person. Everything goes in that bag – tent, clothes, etc.
- 65 pound limit. Volunteers hand move all of these bags. Please abide.
- Do not strap/lash bags together. This may injure baggage volunteers.
Baggage Pickup
Participants must pick up and deliver their own gear from the baggage trucks at each overnight camping area. Truck trailers are numbered and fitted with stairs. Remember to note the trailer in which you load your gear so you can locate it easily at the next site.Porters
Local volunteers are usually available to carry bags from the trucks to the campsite and, again in the morning, from the campsite to the trucks. We encourage you to tip the porters ($2-5 per bag is suggested), as this benefits local volunteer groups.Baggage Truck Departure
Baggage must be dropped by 8:30 a.m. on move days and picked up by 8 p.m. that night. Riders are responsible for getting their bags to and from the baggage trucks by the designated times.Make Your Bag Easy to Identify
Please mark your gear bag with additional personal identification tags (including a phone number). A distinctive tag, such as fluorescent tape or a colorful ribbon (don’t use pink, we use that for bus bags), will also help you locate your bag among the 600 others. -
Food, Drink & Entertainment

Course Support
Cycle Oregon prides itself on providing a fully supported ride. Our goal is to help you finish each day’s ride. To that end, our course is complete with the following services and amenities.
Course Hours
Route options (such as gravel and hill climbs) and layover day routes may have a specific closing time. Riders need to be on the course no later than 9:00 a.m. on all days to be supported, and on Friday, the course will officially close at 3:30 p.m. Visit Rider Services at the event to get details about specific course times.
Our sweep team follows behind the final riders to remove route signs and close the course, but their role is also to keep riders moving forward throughout the day. We ask that riders maintain at least 8 mph average speed to stay ahead of the sweep team. Route options (such as hill climbs) and layover day routes may have a specific closing time. Additionally, on layover days, riders need to be on the course by no later than 9:00 a.m., and on Friday, the course will officially close at 3:30 p.m. Visit Rider Services at the event to get details about specific course times.
If you start before the course opens or are still riding after the course closes, there will be no support services available. Riders that are about to be passed by the sweep team will be offered a ride either ahead to a stop or all the way to camp. If you choose not to take the ride, you will be on your own to get back to camp.
Food and Drink
2 to 5 rest & water stops will be available along the route each day to provide water, beverages, nutritious and delicious snacks, restrooms, and bike mechanics. The first Rest Stop will open at 7:00 a.m. Typically the second rest stop of the day will offer some additional, hearty options to keep you fueled. Rest Stop signs alert riders when one is just a mile ahead (or look for the banana on the route map).
In addition to the Rest Stops, one or two Water Stops per day will provide water and restrooms (indicated by a water bottle on the route map). Many of our rest stops are in beautiful parks, so take your time and enjoy the setting.
Rest & Water Stop opening and closing hours vary based on the length of the route and the 8-mph pace. Visit Rider Services at the event to get details about specific Rest Stop times.
Gear Drop
More information coming soon.
SAG Vans
There will be multiple SAG vans on the course each day. They are available to transport cyclists as needed due to mechanical problems or medical injuries. They also have extra water, snacks, and sunscreen if needed. If at any time you need assistance, please signal a SAG van with a “thumbs down” signal. If you do get into a SAG van, you may not be transported directly to camp. SAG vans typically wait until they are full to go to camp.
There will be a SAG van available each morning to transport cyclists from site to site if cyclists are not feeling well or are injured. Go to the Medical tent and get a medical release for riding the medical SAG . Bring that form to Rider Services before 8 a.m. to sign up for this shuttle option.
Bike Mechanics
More information coming soon.
Medical Service
Medical services by Adventure Medics will be available on the course, and at the overnight site. There is no charge for medical services on the course or at the site. If you require transportation to or from a local medical facility, you will be financially responsible for transport and medical services there.
-
Check In
Check in will be available during these times:
- Sunday, September 7, from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Monday, September 8, from 6:30 – 8:30 a.m.
When you check in, you must show your photo ID. Once we affix your wristband, it should not be removed unless you leave the ride and do not plan on returning. The wristband is what identifies you as a participant and gives you access to meals and course support.
Arriving and Leaving Late
If you arrive late on Sunday, you can pick up your rider packet on Monday morning at Rider Services.
No camping will be available on Friday night after the event. Consider getting a motel room in the area or finding a nearby park.

Bike and Gear
As always, the best bike and gear to bring will be the one you are familiar with and comfortable riding. We do recommend that you or your bicycle have the capacity to carry two water bottles for proper hydration and to take full advantage of our renowned rest. Gravel-specific and touring bikes with 35-40c (or greater) tires and low gearing will thrive on our gravel routes.
-
Can I bring my e-bike?
E-bikes are welcome on all Cycle Oregon courses for Rally 2025. E-bikes are growing in popularity yet the infrastructure to support them is not always available nor guaranteed in all camp locations.
35 e-bike charging spots are available at $104 for each spot. We can only accommodate pedal-assisted e-bike and not fully electric. Riders are strongly recommended to bring two batteries and one will be charged for them each evening.
Charging Service
We anticipate this program will sell out, so recommend that you register for the event and e-bike charging early. Riders will be required to sign our e-bike agreement and pay a charging fee of $104 for the week during registration.
I signed up for CPAP, can I charge my e-bike there?
No. The power supply for those who require a CPAP machine is often through a single outlet or a single generator; the power required to charge an e-bike battery is too great and could comprise power available to CPAP machines. This service is strictly limited to CPAP machines only.
More information on e-bikes at Cycle Oregon can be found here.

COVID-19
Rider health and safety is paramount on Cycle Oregon events. Working within the guidelines from the Oregon Health Authority, we have developed COVID-19 safety plans and protocols which we will amend as new updates and guidelines are announced leading up to an event.
As of March 11, 2022 masks are no longer required for indoor settings or group activities in Oregon. There are exceptions, masks are required in healthcare settings, and we ask that you are mindful of additional requests you may encounter during Rally.
Masks are not required at Rally but we support those who choose to wear them for any reason they may have. We recognize members of the Cycle Oregon community and those associated with support of this event hold varying views on face covering. Out of respect for one another and in the spirit of the Cycle Oregon mission we ask that you honor our mask-friendly policy at Rally – Do what’s best for you.
